Radiation therapy vendor Varian Medical Systems reported that Ullevaal University Hospital in Oslo, Norway, has placed a $14 million (U.S.) order for cancer radiotherapy technology with the Palo Alto, CA-based firm.
The order encompasses five Clinaclinear accelerators -- three equipped with On-Board Imager accessories complete with conebeam CT -- along with an Acuity imaging and planning device and a full suite of treatment planning and data-management software, Varian said.
The equipment is scheduled to be installed on an ongoing basis throughout 2006, according to Varian.
