Midwest RF unwraps MR head coil

MR coil developer Midwest RF has received Food and Drug Administration clearance for its Radiation Oncology Head Array (ROH) coil.

Currently compatible with 1.5-tesla MR systems from GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., the eight-element array coil is designed to image radiation oncology patients fitted with thermoplastic immobilization masks, according to the Hartland, WI-based vendor. Stereotactic head frames can also fit within ROH, Midwest RF said.
