RITA boosts sales, trims losses

Oncology device vendor RITA Medical Systems of Fremont, CA, reported revenue for its fiscal 2005 third quarter of $11.2 million, a 40% increase compared with the $8 million in sales posted for its fiscal 2004 third quarter.

The firm reported a net loss for the 2005 third quarter (end-September 30) of $705,000, a 78% reduction compared with a net loss of $3.3 million in the 2004 third quarter.

The company said that its current outlook for the fourth quarter of 2005 is for revenue to be between $11.3 million and $12.3 million. It said it expects net income for the coming quarter to range between a net income of $100,000 and a net loss of $800,000.
