Oncology treatment center operator Radiation Therapy Services (RTS) of Fort Myers, FL, reported growth in revenues and net income for the company's second quarter (end-June 30).
For the period, the company posted revenues of $72.6 million, up 33.4% compared with revenues of $54.4 million in the same period of 2005. The company's net income for the most recent quarter was $8.8 million, compared with $7.5 million in the second quarter of 2005.
RTS said that same-practice revenue growth was 21.9%, reflecting the company's ongoing program to install more advanced technologies like image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT). The company reported an average of 1,440 total treatments per day at its 58 freestanding centers, a 12.9% increase from the same period in 2005.
