ProCure Treatment Centers of Bloomington, IN, has signed an agreement with two collaborators to build a proton therapy center in Somerset, NJ.
ProCure, Princeton Radiation Oncology, and CentraState Healthcare System have closed financing and funded capital for the 60,000-sq-ft center. They plan to break ground in April and begin treating patients in 2010. It will be the first four-room proton therapy center in New Jersey and the metropolitan New York City area, ProCure said.
