Brachytherapy device developer Xoft of Sunnyvale, CA, has installed its Axxent electronic brachytherapy system at the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Beverly Hills, CA.
Axxent is designed for intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) and surface indications. The system can be used on any external or internal surface of the body where radiation therapy is indicated.
The Pink Lotus Breast Center is the first breast center in the nation to integrate electronic brachytherapy into its services, according to Xoft.
