Radiation therapy firm RaySearch has receive an order from First Coast Oncology in Jacksonville, FL.
RaySearch will provide its RayStation system, which will be placed into clinical use at First Coast Oncology for conventional radiation treatment planning beginning in the fourth quarter.
In addition, RaySearch said it would partner with both Mevion Medical Systems and First Coast Oncology to provide planning services for the Jacksonville Mevion Proton Therapy Center, which is scheduled to open in 2013.
The combined Mevion S250 proton therapy system and RayStation package will be the first to be installed in 2013, RaySearch said.
