Xstrahl sells 20th small-animal system

Radiation therapy developer Xstrahl reported that it has sold its 20th Small Animal Radiation Research Platform (SARRP).

The milestone system was sold to the division of translational radiation sciences at the University of Maryland, under the direction of Dr. Zeljko Vujaskovic, PhD.

The installation culminates three years of design improvements to the original SARRP system, which was designed at Johns Hopkins University. First intended for large university research groups, SARRP is increasingly being adopted by small labs, supporting research into regenerative medicine and radiation oncology, according to Xstrahl.
