Computer-aided detection (CAD) and radiation therapy firm iCAD has inked two new contracts for its Xoft Axxent electronic brachytherapy system.
Advanced Rad Solutions (ARS) of Houston will use the device at its sites to treat patients diagnosed with nonmelanoma skin cancer. Xoft Axxent will allow patients to undergo the treatment in their dermatologist's office, according to iCAD.
DermEbx of San Jose, CA, will also use the system to treat nonmelanoma skin cancer throughout its network of dermatology centers. DermEbx currently serves 14 locations in Arizona, California, and Nevada, iCAD said.
