The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) said it has received a record 2,874 abstract submissions for its 2014 annual meeting.
The organization received 1,681 studies from researchers in the U.S., followed by 206 studies from Japan and 191 submissions from China. Canadian researchers contributed 171 studies, and Korean researchers were next on the list with 93 abstracts. The meeting is being held in San Francisco from September 14-17.
The scientific presentations will include up to four plenary papers, 360 oral presentations, 1,862 posters, and 144 digital posters, ASTRO said.
