Radiation therapy vendor Varian Medical Systems has introduced a faster version of its VariSeed brachytherapy treatment planning software at the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) meeting in Anaheim, CA.
VariSeed now offers quicker, more flexible brachytherapy planning, according to the firm. It also features a new VariPath module that supports the use of data and images from transperineal ultrasound-guided biopsies, with the additional option of fusing these findings with MR images.
The company will also highlight its RapidPlan and SmartSegmentation software tools for radiotherapy and radiosurgery planning.
