Radiation oncology firm Varian Medical Systems has won a contract to provide its radiotherapy technology to six hospitals in Shanghai.
Under terms of the contract, Varian will install its Edge radiosurgery suite in five affiliate hospitals of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, all of which specialize in the treatment of lung and breast cancer as well as pediatric oncology, Varian said. In addition, the company will install its Trilogy system at Longhua Hospital Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, one of the largest traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in the country.
