Radiation oncology firm Accuray said that its Radixact radiation therapy system has been used for the first time to treat a cancer patient in India.
Healthcare Global Enterprises (HCG) EKO in Kolkata completed the milestone treatment, according to Accuray. HCG was also the first in India to deploy Accuray's TomoH 3D conformal and image-guided intensity-modulated radiation therapy system, as well as its CyberKnife robotic radiosurgery system, the company said.
