Radiation oncology firm Accuray has signed an agreement with Brainlab to make that company's treatment planning software available to users of Accuray's CyberKnife radiosurgery system.
Accuray and Brainlab will partner to enable CyberKnife users to gain access to Brainlab's Elements planning software, which gives contouring capabilities to neurosurgeons. The companies will also work together to make Brainlab's Snke OS operating software more interoperable with Accuray's systems.
In another element of the partnership, CyberKnife users will be able to add treatment data to their systems using Quentry, Brainlab's patient registry platform, and enable patients to be easily added to neuroradiosurgery patient registries.
