Radiation oncology vendor Varian is emphasizing the benefits of its combination with Siemens Healthineers, as well as several new products, at the annual meeting of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), held October 24-27.
The company will be demonstrating version 3.0 of its TrueBeam 3.0 radiotherapy system as a work-in-progress. The new release will enhance image quality, workflow, and cybersecurity, according to the other vendor.
Varian is also directing attention to its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, including its Eclipse TPS and AI Rad Companion Organs RT software for AI-based autocontouring. In addition, visitors to the company's ASTRO 2021 booth will be able to preview advances for its experimental Flash therapy technique, as well as upcoming updates for its Aria oncology information system, Eclipse treatment planning software, and Halcyon radiotherapy system, the firm said.
