Radiation therapy software developer RaySearch Laboratories has signed an agreement to deliver its RayStation treatment planning software to Mevion China.
The software will be included in Mevion's Hyperscan proton therapy system, which the company has sold to Tongji Hospital in Wuhan.
RayStation's features include adaptive therapy capabilities, multicriteria optimization, and algorithms for treatment plan optimization for high-dose-rate brachytherapy and external-beam therapy with photons, electrons, and protons, as well as helium and carbon ions, RaySearch said.
RaySearch now has about 70 RayStation customers in China through its own subsidiary in the country.
