Sonora to market transducers in Europe

Ultrasound technology developer Misonix of Farmingdale, NY, has announced that its Sonora Medical Systems subsidiary has received ISO 9001/EN4600/MDD (medical device directive) certification for the design, development, and distribution of diagnostic ultrasound transducers. The certification will allow Sonora to label its products "CE" and sell them in the European healthcare market, according to Misonix president and CEO Michael McManus.
