GE Medical Systems has completed its acquisition of transducer supplier Parallel Design. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Waukesha, WI-based GE believes the addition will help it exceed ultrasound revenues of $750 million in 2001. GE expects to have approximately $660 million in ultrasound revenues this year.
As part of the acquisition, GE will establish a global transducer center of excellence at Parallel Design’s headquarters in Phoenix.
