SonoSite has reached an agreement with Kaiser Permanente to supply hand-carried ultrasound systems to the healthcare organization. The two-year contract provides for the Bothell, WA manufacturer to be the primary ultrasound vendor across all imaging applications and clinical settings.
The deal is the result of a three-and-a-half year process with Oakland, CA-based Kaiser Permanente, according to SonoSite president and CEO Kevin Goodwin. SonoSite officials noted that the agreement includes an optional two-year renewal in addition to the current contract.
