SonoSite posts lower Q4 and Y2K results

In line with a previous annoucement, ultrasound manufacturer SonoSite has released lower fourth quarter and year 2000 financial results. For the quarter and year (end-December 31), the Bothell, WA-based vendor posted revenues of $6.7 million and $32 million, respectively.

SonoSite reported a net loss of $8.2 million for the quarter, and a net loss of $19 million for the year. Company officers were encouraged, however, by fourth-quarter improvements to SonoSite's direct-sales channel, and by several recently announced contracts with large healthcare organizations, said Kevin Goodwin, president and CEO.
