This year's Symposium on Contrast Echocardiography focused on advances in contrast ultrasound research and evolving clinical developments. Other topics included the use of contrast agents in the assessment of regional and global ventricular function at rest and during stress, recognition of intracardiac clots and masses, ventricular aneurysms, and contrast in Doppler echocardiography.
The program featured presentations by 15 international contrast researchers from the U.S., Argentina, Brazil, the U.K., Germany, and Canada. The goal of the symposium, held in Seattle and sponsored by ATL Ultrasound of Bothell, WA, was to provide clinicians with an in-depth review of contrast echocardiography, according to ATL.
