Ultrasound firm Biosound Esaote will be rolling out its Caris Plus ultrasound scanner at the American Heart Association conference November 11-14.
Weighing less than 35 pounds, Caris Plus is a complete cardiac and vascular system that can adapt to any scanning environment, according to the Indianapolis-based firm. Caris Plus can be used as a portable system or as a conventional cart-equipped unit that handles all cardiology environments, intensive care units, emergency rooms, bed examinations, and small labs.
Caris Plus includes color and power Doppler, color-flow mapping, integrated stress echo, and the company's Tissue Enhancement Imaging (TEI) technique. High-frequency probes for adult and pediatric imaging are included, as is a complete calculation package, according to the company.
