SonoSite sells 5,000th handheld scanner

Handheld-ultrasound developer SonoSite has delivered its 5,000th scanner, the Bothell, WA, company reported this week. About 50% of the company’s systems have been purchased by U.S. facilities, with the other 50% sold to international customers. SonoSite introduced the scanner two years ago.
