SonoSite signs up with U.K.’s National Health Service

SonoSite and the National Health Service in the U.K. have announced a two-year agreement for the Bothell, WA-based company to supply the NHS with hand-carried, point-of-care ultrasound machines.

The contract allows supply managers in NHS Trust Hospitals to purchase SonoSite systems without the complex tender process normally associated with ultrasound system acquisitions. SonoSite will supply its two portable ultrasound products, SonoSite 180Plus and the SonoHeart Plus systems.
