Handheld ultrasound technology developer SonoSite has introduced SonoHeart Elite, an all-digital cardiac ultrasound system. SonoHeart Elite includes new features such as continuous wave Doppler and Extended Resolution Harmonic (ERH) imaging, according to the Bothell, WA-based vendor.
In addition, SonoSite has added 2-D and color imaging enhancements, including higher frame rates, better signal to noise ratio, and improved filtering, according to SonoSite. The handheld system weighs less than six pounds.
