Siemens rolls out Sonoline G50

Siemens Medical Solutions has released Sonoline G50, a new all-digital ultrasound system suitable for obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal, vascular, shared-service cardiac, and urology applications. G50 includes the Iselin, NJ-based vendor's Tissue Harmonic Imaging (THI), AutoColor technology, MultiHertz multiple-frequency imaging, and directional power-Doppler imaging.

G50 can also be configured with options such as digital archiving, review and transfer of complete ultrasound studies, SieScape panoramic imaging, and cardiac imaging, Siemens said. Shipments are scheduled to begin in November.
