GE's ultrasound unit notches double-digit growth

Multimodality vendor GE Healthcare reported that revenues in its ultrasound business grew by more than 12% in 2004, marking the business unit's 10th consecutive year of double-digit growth.

According to the Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based GE, its continued growth in the sector is due to a combination of technology offerings and distribution capabilities. The company did not provide a specific dollar amount for the unit's revenues.
