Klein report names Siemens number one ultrasound firm

Ultrasound consulting firm Klein Biomedical Consultants (KBC) has ranked Siemens Medical Solutions as the number one ultrasound company for 2004 based on U.S. revenues, according to Malvern, PA-based Siemens. Siemens has achieved KBC's top ranking the past five years.

Philips Medical Systems and GE Healthcare received the second and third rankings, respectively. The KBC 2004 annual report also ranked Siemens as the top vendor in both cardiology and radiology markets for ultrasound units and total revenues including options, Siemens said.
