Ultrasound technology developer Zonare Medical Systems has unveiled a new software release for its z.one scanner.
Release 1.5 includes a number of new features, such as a dual or side-by-side imaging mode that includes measurements, according to the Mountain View, CA-based vendor. Users can also simultaneously view color and power Doppler images on the new release, Zonare said.
Zonare said it has also incorporated 2D imaging improvements such as better contrast resolution, as well as color-flow and power Doppler imaging enhancements. Other new features include a venous calculation package for upper and lower extremities, user-customizable obstetrics equations, and Swedish calculation tables, Zonare said.
Zonare has also added support for DICOM modality performed procedure step (MPPS), user configurability of DICOM association management, and DICOM work list improvements. New software upgrades can also now be downloaded off the Web, according to the firm.
