Ultrasound technology developer Misonix said that its majority-owned subsidiary Sonora Medical Systems has received the first of three patents for its FirstCall 2000 ultrasound probe-testing device.
U.S. patent No. 6,920,776, covers FirstCall 2000's process for testing ultrasound probes on site without requiring the ultrasonic system to be in operation, according to Misonix of Farmingdale, NY.
