Esaote of Genoa, Italy, will debut its new MyLab Gold platform. The first scanner in the product family is the MyLab70 high-end ultrasound system.
Esaote says the soon-to-be-launched MyLab70 offers high flexibility, dedicated ergonomics, and solutions for all applications. Features and capabilities include Esaote's eXtended Modular Architecture (XMA), eXtreme Beam Former (XBF), eXtreme Focusing Technology (XFT), eXtreme High-Frequencies imaging (XHF), and eXtreme View with real-time adaptive algorithm (XView).
Esaote will target the high-end segment of the ultrasound market with the MyLab70. The device is FDA-cleared and available worldwide. Clinical applications include abdominal, small parts, thyroid, breast, musculoskeletal, cardiac, vascular, ob/gyn, urology, interventional, and contrast media procedures.
MyLab70's digital architecture affords real-time archiving, PC connectivity, peripheral configuration, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, DICOM compliance, and a direct connection to Esaote's Biopacs-Org@nizer miniPACS workstations.
