Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, will showcase advancements for its Acuson Antares and Acuson Sequoia ultrasound scanners.
Acuson Antares is capable of 2D, color Doppler, 3D, 4D, and contrast agent imaging and features Siemens' fourSight 4D imaging technology. It has been expanded to include new rendering modes and the new EV9F4 endovaginal 4D transducer. Capabilities on the upgradable platform, such as Cadence contrast pulse sequencing for advanced contrast agent imaging applications and Extend performance technology, will help in imaging technically difficult patients, according to the company.
On Sequoia, Siemens will feature the Encompass II package, which adds a high-resolution flat-panel display and CD/DVD-R to the system. The new release will provide High Resolution Color Flow, which applies the company's chirp-coded excitation technique to color Doppler to address spatial resolution and sensitivity.
