TeraRecon's plans for RSNA 2005 include two new multifunctional digital, portable, color Doppler ultrasound systems: UF-780XTD and 785XTD. The devices are equipped with standard 15-inch XGA high-resolution LCD monitors, according to the San Mateo, CA, company.
UF-780XTD features two simultaneous probe connections, and 785XTD offers three probe connections and dual-beam processing. Both units are pending FDA clearance.
In an effort to improve clinical workflow and operator usability with its UF-850XTD ultrasound system, TeraRecon has added new software upgrades, including enhanced reporting capabilities, measurement functions, and customization options for exams. The scanner can now record to peripheral devices.
TeraRecon has also developed several new ultrasound-oriented software tools and workflow enhancements for its Aquarius Workstation 3.5: soft plaque quantification and left atrium characterization for pulmonary vein ablation planning for cardiac applications; and advanced vessel analysis and 3D stent-graft planning and reporting for complex aneurysms for endovascular procedures.
