Compact-ultrasound developer SonoSite has appointed Dieter Schwartmann as vice president of Europe and acting manager of SonoSite GmbH, the company's wholly owned German subsidiary. The appointment is effective December 1.
The Bothell, WA-based vendor said Schwartmann brings 30 years of experience in the medical ultrasound and technology industry to SonoSite. Schwartmann has served as vice president of the medical ultrasound business line of Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA, and was most recently a vice president and board member of ultrasound developer Aloka of Wallingford, CT, the company said.
