Canadian ultrasound developer Ultrasonix Medical is showcasing Sonix Live, its live video stream application, at RSNA 2005 this week.
The Sonix Live remote observation demonstration will be seen on the Burnaby, British Columbia-based firm's Sonix SP ultrasound system and will become available on Ultrasonix diagnostic systems in early 2006.
With an open PC-based operating architecture, the Sonix product line provides a wireless LAN capability. It also features a 80-GB hard drive, front-load CD/DVD drive, and two front-load USB 2.0 drives for data transfer.
