Inrad

Inrad of Kentwood, MI, will introduce a new product in its line of breast localization wires designed to help radiologists mark breast lesions or cysts after biopsy.

Chesbrough Anchor Wire, a double-barbed wire that minimizes movement, also includes a bead between the barbs to help visualization under ultrasound or mammography guidance. Inrad expects U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance for Chesbrough Anchor Wire in December.

The company will also feature two new additions to its UltraClip family of tissue markers. The new coil and wing versions are made of material that allows for different levels of artifacts when imaged by an MR device; titanium and stainless steel markers are also available. Inrad expects FDA clearance for the new markers this month. The UltraClip family of tissue markers comes in 10-, 12-, and 15-cm lengths.
