Ultrasound developer Zonare Medical Systems announced it has reached its 500th worldwide installation of its z.one ultrasound system.
Sales of the convertible ultrasound system have been doubling approximately every six months since shipments began in spring of 2005, according to the Mountain View, CA-based company.
The z.one system is based on the firm's Zone Sonography technology, which allows the product to convert from a cart-based system to a compact unit that can be carried to a patient's bedside, according to Zonare.
