Compact-ultrasound developer SonoSite of Bothell, WA, said it has added a proprietary multibeam imaging algorithm, SonoMB, which improves image resolution for its MicroMaxx ultrasound system.
The vendor said it has also added advances in fundamental and harmonic imaging for abdominal applications, automated image optimization, and credentialing worksheets for recording exams in emergency medicine to the product.
Existing MicroMaxx customers can upgrade via a flash card available from SonoSite. The new MicroMaxx system is shipping now.
