Medical device manufacturer Mindray Medical International of Shenzhen, China, more than doubled its sales in North America to propel its revenues and earnings in the first quarter.
For the period (end-March 31), revenues increased 33% to $54.7 million, while revenues generated in international markets increased 60% to $27.7 million.
First-quarter 2007 GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) net income rose to $15.8 million, up 79% from the same quarter a year ago.
