(Booth 5305) Zonare Medical Systems of Mountain View, CA, will feature its next-generation z.one ultra system at the RSNA meeting this year.
The scanner uses the company's Convertible Ultrasound technology, which allows clinicians to convert the z.one system at the touch of a button from a full-featured, cart-based system to a compact ultrasound scanner.
RSNA 2007 attendees will also see Zonare introduce a basic cardiac package as a work-in-progress, as well as an obstetrical calculations package.
Also look for Zonare to tout the environmentally friendly nature of its technology. Because z.one ultra is based primarily on advanced software rather than proprietary hardware, Zonare says it uses far less power than most conventional systems, which results in less heat generation.
Finally, Zonare will introduce several new transducers for a variety of applications.
