SonoSite to debut NanoMaxx at ASA

Compact-ultrasound developer SonoSite of Bothell, WA, will debut its new, 6-lb NanoMaxx ultrasound system at the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) annual meeting in New Orleans beginning October 18.

NanoMaxx recently received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and features one-button optimization technology, a touchscreen user interface, and a five-year warranty.

It includes five transducers to support examinations and procedures, such as thoracic assessment for pathology, vascular access, and needle aspirations and injections, as well as abdominal, cardiac, nerve, ob/gyn, musculoskeletal, small parts, and vascular scanning.

SonoSite also plans to debut other workflow and mobile power products for integration with the company's ergonomic Universal Stands. The Universal Stands are configurable with the company's M-Turbo, S Series, NanoMaxx, and MicroMaxx product lines.
