Computer-aided detection (CAD) software developer Medipattern of Toronto has received a U.S. patent for the core technology behind its CAD products.
The patent covers the technology for Medipattern's Cadenza platform, a cross-modality CAD algorithm that is applicable for breast ultrasound and breast MRI. Cadenza currently is being developed for use with vascular imaging, and it has been used in research applications for thyroid and prostate cancer.
