Siemens adds apps to Acuson S2000 scanner

Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA, has added advanced vascular and cardiac imaging applications to its Acuson S2000 ultrasound system.

The cardiology upgrades on the 2.0 release of the Acuson S2000 system include Dynamic TCE tissue contrast enhancement technology, a new algorithm designed to provide enhanced speckle reduction and contrast resolution for more detailed images.

Acuson S2000 also has the Acuson AcuNav ultrasound catheter and Live Dual display functionality for simultaneous viewing of B-mode and color Doppler images, according to Siemens.

In addition, expanded eSieScan workflow protocols are designed to streamline workflows, while stress echo and clip capture enhancements provide more options when performing exams.
