Hitachi Medical's Hitachi Aloka Medical ultrasound business has organized its U.S. operations.
Hitachi Aloka Medical America will be based at the site of Aloka's former U.S. headquarters in Wallingford, CT. It will be responsible for all sales, service, marketing, and clinical application support of Aloka America ultrasound equipment, as well as ultrasound systems from Hitachi Medical Systems America.
In addition, the company will integrate and continue to support both Hitachi and Aloka ultrasound offerings, according to Hitachi. Hitachi Aloka Medical America will be led by general manager David Famiglietti, who most recently served as chief operating officer of Aloka America. In his new role, Famiglietti will lead the company's business operations in the U.S. and Canada.
Hitachi Aloka Medical's international headquarters are in Tokyo. Hitachi purchased a controlling stake in Aloka in late 2010.
