Medical equipment manufacturer Mindray Medical International has introduced its DP-50 portable black-and-white ultrasound system in the U.S.
Designed for use in numerous specialty markets, DP-50 can handle clinical applications such as fetal, abdominal, pediatric, small organ, neonatal/adult cephalic, musculoskeletal, pediatric cardiac, and peripheral vascular exams, according to the vendor.
The system features dynamic beam formation, iBeam spatial compounding, iClear speckle reduction, tissue harmonic, and tissue-specific imaging technology. Mindray's DP-50 transducer family includes wideband transducers with up to four imaging frequencies in each transducer; imaging can be performed from 2 to 10 MHz at up to a 140° scanning angle, according to the vendor.
