Medical imaging firm Analogic has launched three new ultrasound systems in its BK Medical line: Pro Focus UltraView 800, Flex Focus 800, and Flex Focus 500.
Each system features the company's Quantum technology, which is designed to enhance 2D and color Doppler capabilities and contrast resolution, as well as offer new grayscale maps and image presets.
The new technology also offers a vector flow imaging (VFI) mode as an option, which enables angle-independent visualization of blood flow, and an advanced color Doppler mode for enhanced spatial resolution.
UltraView 800 and Flex Focus 800 are premium models designed for surgery, including robotic-assisted surgery, general imaging, and high-end urology imaging. UltraView 800 also has contrast imaging capabilities, which are cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for cardiac applications only.
Both the UltraView 800 and Flex Focus 800 systems have a HistoScanning ready option that is pending FDA clearance.
Flex Focus 500 is a midrange, portable system designed for urology and general imaging needs. All of the new systems also have VFI as an option.
