Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer Medipattern said that mobile diagnostic imaging services provider SonoCare is using Medipattern's Visualize:Vascular software to offer 3D ultrasound visualization procedures to its clients.
SonoCare operates 53 mobile sites in North and South Carolina that provide all-digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, echocardiography, and vascular examinations to physician's offices and to patients in residential settings.
Visualize:Vascular is designed for viewing and quantifying image data acquired from ultrasound scanners in 2D and 3D. It automatically generates reports showing the active luminal pathway summarizing luminal diameters and the cross-sectional area of the lumen for the targeted vessel segment. By tracking active intraluminal arterial pathways to the brain, it enables clinicians to select a region of interest focusing on the residual lumen in the carotid arteries, according to Medipattern.
