Analog Devices launches new US receiver

Data conversion and signal conditioning company Analog Devices has launched AD9670, an eight-channel ultrasound receiver.

The new receiver is designed to capture and condition eight channels of data from radiofrequency (RF) to a baseband frequency, thus easing field-programmable gate array (FPGA) processing in cart-based and portable ultrasound equipment. It is designed for use in mid- to high-end ultrasound scanners, according to the company.

AD9670 also integrates a low-noise amplifier, variable-gain amplifier, antialiasing filter, and 14-bit analog-to-digital converter with a sample rate of 125 megasamples per second and a signal-to-noise ratio performance of 75 dB.
