Samsung Medison is showcasing two new ultrasound systems at the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) World Congress being held October 6 to 9.
One of the systems, UGEO WS80A, is for ob/gyn use and features a 21.5-inch LED screen with a 10.1-inch touch panel; Samsung's Feto Realistic View (FRV) technique, which displays lifelike detail of anatomic structures; 5D nuchal translucency, which can help detect Down syndrome; and 5D Cine, which provides images that can be viewed on 3D TV.
The other new scanner is the handheld UGEO HM70A, which can be used for ob/gyn, radiology, and cardiology.
Both products will be available in Korea, Australia, and in countries in Europe and Southeast Asia beginning this month, with a launch in the U.S. and Japan in the beginning of next year.
