Medical imaging firm Analogic is featuring a range of new products at RSNA 2013 in Chicago.
The company is showcasing its new Quantum Plus Technology for its entire line of ultrasound systems, offering improved image quality, usability, and reliability. It will be available for sale for Ultrasonix systems in the second quarter of 2014.
Analogic is also featuring its new wide-bore integrated CT gantry using Analogic's PowerLink noncontact power transfer system, along with new iterative reconstruction software called LISA (low dose imaging software by Analogic) that can generate images at up to 40% lower radiation dosage, according to the company. LISA has not yet been cleared for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
In addition, Analogic will introduce Vector Flow Imaging (VFI) Assist for its BK Flex Focus systems. It offers a spectral Doppler mode that enables precise Doppler gate placement automatically, according to the company.
The company has also added a new Wi-Fi option for its BK Flex Focus ultrasound systems and its Pro Focus UltraView 800 system, a new transducer for neonatal imaging on select Flex Focus systems and the Pro Focus UltraView 800, a small 20-kW radiofrequency amplifier, and a high-power gradient amplifier for wide-bore MRI systems. It is also showing redesigned SonixTablet and SonixTouch ultrasound systems for research and point-of-care applications.
